Mars Hill Children

We welcome new Children’s & Campus Minister, Steven Seaton.

Bro. Steve and his wife, Lori, have been married for 11 years. They have three beautiful daughters: Isabelle, Anleigh, and Ella Kate, who are all part of the MHBC children’s ministry. Steve was born in Hollywood, Florida and raised in Atlanta, GA. Lori was born and raised in a farming family in Talladega, AL. Several years ago they left a family business in Atlanta to pursue a calling into ministry. He enrolled full-time at Luther Rice Seminary and became a stay-at-home dad. The family moved to Lawrenceburg in 2006 where they became involved in ‘I AM 4 kids,’ a ministry for children on the school campus and in the court system. They came to Mars Hill in September 2008 to continue in that ministry along with overseeing the church’s children’s ministry. Bro. Steve says, “These are both unique and exciting opportunities, and we are excited to be a part of the Mars Hill family!”

AWANA

AWANA Commander, Bro Gary states, "As our church continues to grow and reach out in various new ways of ministering to it's people, I believe that God has begun to lay on our heart a vision for our children's department to try something new to specifically reach and teach their age group. I also believe with all of my heart that AWANA is that something He intends to use." The time is Wednesday night 6:00 to 7:30.

Praise Kids

Praise Kids Worship takes place every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. While parents worship in the adult service, children ages four-years through fourth grade meet in the fellowship hall for a special worship service designed just for them. Praise Kids Worship incorporates Bible stories, music, PowerPoint graphics, puppets, costumes and much more.

Vacation Bible School

Summer VBS is for children ages three-years through sixth grade. The youth and adults can join the fun as teachers and helpers. The finale is Family Night where the parents can come to see what the children have learned and join with them for games and food in the fellowship hall. Children and workers are encouraged to be a part of our Vacation Bible School.
